Come along and join me in my Farnsfield workshop to get all festive! Together we will make this festive Christmas tree, standing 20cm tall made of white earthenware - one of my favourites. After rolling out the clay I’ll demonstrate how to cut a spiral and wrap it around the clay mould creating its ascending features. Once the clay is fully blended you can decorate with stamps, colours and patterns with my support every step of the way (photos on their way when I take them out of the kiln!). This relaxed 2hr workshop includes the clay, decorating coloured slips, two firings, the glazes and light refreshments, and your ceramics will be ready for collection after 2-4 weeks. There are plenty of places to park on Milldale close, thank you. I will always treat your ceramics with the upmost care, however on the odd occasion a slight crack may appear, even on the best made piece. I will do everything in my power to avoid this. There is a tradition amongst potters, that during a kiln firing, it is always worth praying to the ‘Kiln Gods’!
