Christmas Wreath

Service Description

Come along and join me in my Farnsfield workshop to get all festive! You will start the workshop with an extruded length of white earthenware clay that you’ll then turn into a doughnut shape – the base for your wreath. From there I’ll demonstrate the cutters and stamps, colours and decorations that you can then adorn your wreath with. I’ll have plenty of examples and give you guidance every step of the way. The example in the photo is of stars, however I have more traditional holly and berry ones to see too - more photos to come. This wreath is 14-15cm wide. This relaxed 2hr workshop includes the clay, decorating coloured slips, two firings, the glazes and light refreshments, and your ceramics will be ready for collection after 2-4 weeks. There are plenty of places to park on Milldale close, thank you. I will always treat your ceramics with the upmost care, however on the odd occasion a slight crack may appear, even on the best made piece. I will do everything in my power to avoid this. There is a tradition amongst potters, that during a kiln firing, it is always worth praying to the ‘Kiln Gods’!
