Christmas Candle Holder Centrepiece.

Service Description

Come along and join me in my Farnsfield workshop to get all festive! You’ll make this rather special candle holder suitable for a tall candle that’ll be perfect for any centre piece! We’ll start with white earthenware clay to build the candle holder base; I shall guide you every step of the way. We will then cut out our shapes to adorn the base adding coloured slip as we go. I have used traditional holly leaves and berries, however you can happily replace these with stars, hearts etc or simply decorate the candle holder with a pattern - the choice is yours! This relaxed 2hr workshop includes the clay, two firings, the glazes and light refreshments, and your ceramics will be ready for collection after 2-4 weeks. There are plenty of places to park on Milldale close, thank you. I will always treat your ceramics with the upmost care, however on the odd occasion a slight crack may appear, even on the best made piece. I will do everything in my power to avoid this. There is a tradition amongst potters, that during a kiln firing, it is always worth praying to the ‘Kiln Gods’!
